Whoever said “no pain, no gain” had clearly never spent a day in heels or experienced the morning after the night before, when walking is actually a chore, on top of the adult headache. Just as women in the 60’s threw their bra’s to the wind and started a revolution. Ladies I’m here to tell you it’s our turn to do the same but this time, with our heels!
I’ve been banging on about the elevated flat for years and the high street are delivering. Comfort is finally cool, there I said it!!!!!!! Whether you prefer a boho vibe, or a bit of embellishment. If you want to go back to the 90’s with the jelly’s or if you enjoy being barefoot but in shoes, "I’ve got you covered.
Before I throw them at you, let’s discuss how to wear them… As I’ve mentioned I like to call this group of shoes the Elevated Flats. The reason I call them this is because that exactly what they do. They elevate your look. They also make a statement and pull an outfit together with little effort but with maximum impact. Throw on a white tee and jeans with a mesh leopard print ballerina and immediately you have transformed a boring look into something stylish.
Add a midi skirt, grey sweater and a pair of jelly’s or studded pumps and you’ve gone from girlie to edgy.- think what would SJP from Sex & The City do?
A mule and a trench coat are literally a match made in spring Tinder heaven. Is Tinder still the one? I’ve been married for longer than dating apps have been around, so I don’t know, anyway I digress…. literally pair these two together and the rest will fall into place.
Without further ado, I give you the ELEVATED FLATS EDIT
H&M SUEDE BALLET PUMPS
H&M RED MESH PUMPS
I hope this put a little spring in your step and got you excited for the warmer days ahead. Also never fear, I’ll have your feet covered in summer sandals in no time, that blog coming to you soon.
Happy Sunday
Big love
